His career has spanned the corporate world and he has also been involved in trade union, political and civic organisa- tion activities. Between 2012 and 2016 he served as the Chief Operations Officer of the South African Hindu Maha Sabha, giving him an overview of the functioning of Hindu organisations in South Africa.
