2003 – 2009 Dodge Cummins Diesel 24V 5.9L Exhaust Manifold Blanket – LAVA

The 03-09 Dodge Cummins 5.9L Diesel manifold blanket was designed to solve multiple heat and noise issues which are a result of the manifold and turbo placement in the engine bay. The manifold on a Dodge Cummins 5.9L gets extremely hot and a metal heat shield just doesn’t cut it and wrapping it is nearly impossible…  The only option left is to blanket it.  Luckily we make a blanket designed specifically for the OEM manifold. The clamshell design covers both the top and bottom of the manifold and is extremely easy to install with our stainless steel anchor  and wire lasing system. The blanket features 1/2″ thick 6 pound density ceramic mat on the inside allowing it to handle 2500° Fahrenheit direct heat. The proprietary aluminium bonded pulverized lava rock exterior fabric is made to be durable and handle extremely high temperatures (over 2500­°F).  The internal alumnized layer also helps to add extra barrier to heat and liquids. This blanket is designed to retain heat lowering engine bay temperatures and increase turbo spool times.
