The Thermal Zero Subaru downpipe blanket was specifically designed to fit the cat-less 3″ aftermarket downpipe. The blanket utilizes a 2500°F direct heat resistant high density ceramic layer on the inside of the blanket to make sure no heat gets through. On top of that the ceramic layer is covered with a black high temperature silicon impregnated fiberglass outer jacketing. Since vibration is inevitable we have created a more durable design. Our blankets feature a knitted wire mesh inner layer that separates the insulation material from the pipe surface, greatly increasing durability and reducing breakdown. For a fastening system we installed extremely durable T style stainless steel rivet style fasteners which easily close the blanket with the supplied wire. This blanket will keep engine bay temperatures very low and add life to your Subaru CV boots which commonly deteriorate due to added heat after installing an aftermarket downpipe.
