These are a great value (compared to true lego figures) for the younger lego fan. My 4 year old grandson, who is drawn to small figures, loves these. They came in separate cellophane envelopes with no instructions, and he needed none. To start, he put them together as intended, opening one envelope at a time. He feels free to change them up, mixing the sets. There was no box and no picture of what they “ought” to look like. This was a great gift for a child who just wants to play with little people, take them apart and reconstruct them. I gave it only 3 stars for giftable because an older child would notice they are not real legos (although compatible), do not have quite the flexability as real Lego figures, and the packaging was not impressive as a gift. They would be good as individual favors for a Lego themed birthday party, again for the younger set as the figures are not known (and licensed = more expensive) characters.
