STORY
VANGUARD started with one question: Can we make a modern satchel / briefcase that would feel less bulky? Our HERITAGE satchels were designed in the 1950's and like Porsches, they hardly changed. We only refined them over the years, maintaining their original character.
We wanted to re-invent our satchel in a separate collection. To make an equally robust bag, but a more sophisticated version.
DESIGN
VANGUARD is an in-house design that demonstrates our expertise in crafting both unique and durable leather goods. From our HERITAGE satchels, we only kept the thick Belgian leather. We removed all external front pockets to make the bags slimmer. They are uniquely constructed to offer more storage while being less bulky. Fitted with modern push-locks, they are lined with hard-wearing canvas and stitched with heavy-duty nylon thread.
