1:10 Scale Remote Control Car Truck, 80 KM/H High Speed RTR RC, 2.4GHZ Radio Controlled Electric RC Car, 4WD 4×4 Off Road Monster Truck for Adults, IPX7 Waterproof Racing Vehicle
I’ve had my JlB Cheetah for almost 2 years now so I know the truck super well…..The great–Super Fast…Really Good Parts…very durable but not a wall breaker. I find the structural integrity to be very good. The truck is relatively light so of course it’s not indestructible. You can make these monster thick plastic chassis but you also add weight and when the chassis fails you have to buy a whole new frame!! Here the parts are modular so you can remove what breaks CHEAPLY and get going..First off…Dont learn how to drive with car or with any obstacles near by. The truck is extremely fast and before you can react you will smash into something. I ran into a barbecue grill in Park with acres of room. I was new too but it closes ground FAST! I snapped the front A Arm and bent A Arm pin Bushings…The stock A Arms are super tough but they also make blue plastic that are stronger. No need really unless you abuse your Rig. I did buy Aluminum parts but they are annoying…They lose up and need more maintenance. I did keep the metal Front and Rear Diff housings just for more rigidity around the bearings and the gear mesh. I don’t love the shocks but they are well made. They don’t hold fluid perfectly bit will work. I changed mine for shocke that offer better damping. The JLB shock uses a rubber rubber type valve inside and it deflects. Also with the new shock I moved it lower on the rear shock tower to keep the car from rotating backwards so quickly….Its beautiful now…The car will rotate no matter what you do but not its not so instantaneous. Plus the new shocks hold oil. Be careful to get the right length and bore/diameter. Stock tires fun at the beach and in made but I’ve taken them off for better control…less weight…and my current set don’t Balloon so easily. The traction is way better. I did upgrade the Servo. I went big 35Kg…super fast…accurate….I think its worthwhile upgrade. I upgraded the controller…Again the stock is fine…the new more expensive controller is just better. Be careful about getting big heavy batteries just because they last longer. They add a lot of weight and make the ass sag. I run 3S and they are plenty fast. More power means loss of control. The motor already overwhelms whatever tire you throw on it. JLB sales another motor that adds a touch but it’s not necessary. I’m not sure what would be faster in a drag race. You can buy Aluminum nuts for the wheels again just taking weight off allows the shock more control. One issue….IT will happen. Inside the difference there is a small straight piece of round stock…Tiny…like the diameter of a mechanical pencil lead. It fails and you will hear a clicking sound on take off…The differential doesn’t fail its the tiny piece of round stock. It’s too short so when you hammer it on the dry pavement for days eventually it will break in half. You can purchase the round steel at a higher grade and make it bullet proof. There are videos on YouTube. Or pay $25 for a new Diff….The only time I’ve broken the car otherwise is smashing it full speed into some that won’t move. I personally love that it’s not a giant tub of plastic!!!! Amazing car for the price! If you don’t abuse it it’s indestructible. Only other gripe….I wish it had more choices in body covers. They will break but they last a long while and they are cheap.A company used to make bumpers for it…They went out of business. That’s is the only part of the car that is not up to the rest….The Bumper!!!!! You can make them yourself with a heated piece of flat PVC…yes the stuff plastic pipe is made out of. Draw the shape…cut it out…heat it and bend to shape. I wish someone out there would make shocks/Springs and bumpers for it…lol
