I used this stem to achieve a lower, more road-like riding position on my Schwinn DSB hybrid bike. That seems to be the opposite of how most people are using these, but shows that you can angle the stem upwards or downwards. I specifically chose this stem beacuse it showed a - range of angles, but I suspect all similar stems will be able to be set similarly, despite what is silk screened on the stem. This is quite a chunky item at 290g, but that also makes it very durable, with a good thickness of metal around the clamp bolts. The finish is good, lightly textured, and all of the clamp bolts are stainless steel. As a bonus, it even comes with a 5mm spacer and three allen keys.
