Looking for Rifle Barrel lock so I could travel to the range with my rifle and lock for storage.This lock fits my Springfield Armory M1A and 12gage Pump Action Shotgun.You need to open the action of the Shotgun to slide the cable down the barrel.The ball of the cable will not fit into the Action therefore preventing use.The coating is preventing the cable lock from being used on a .22cal. rifle.I tried the exposed end of the cable, and it barely fits the barrel of a .22, so I wouldn’t recommend for a .22 rifle.
